Sherwood Memorial Library, serving an area of 300 residents, has a collection of 6,600 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 154 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 176 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.

Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $460. Patrons make 660 visits annually, and check out materials 3,400 times. Thirty-three percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

Sully County Fair Onida SD August9-12 kicking off the fair with a parade through Onida on Thursday, at 6:27 p.m. The parade will end up at the fairgrounds where we will be having cake, refreshments and music.
