Faulk County Library, serving an area of 2,600 residents, has a collection of 21,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 250 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 270 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of one employee, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. The system comprises one central library, plus one bookmobile. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $4,800. Patrons make 10,500 visits annually, and check out materials 24,000 times. Forty-eight percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

Sully County Fair Onida SD August9-12 kicking off the fair with a parade through Onida on Thursday, at 6:27 p.m. The parade will end up at the fairgrounds where we will be having cake, refreshments and music. Brown County Fair Aberdeen SD August12-18 The Brown County Fair has been providing entertainment and promoting family unity since the 1880s. Enjoy the Dacotah Stampede Rodeo and the demolition derby.
