Founded in 1862, this is a public institution with undergraduate programs in arts and sciences, education, fine arts, and business and professional schools of law and medicine. There are four undergraduate and three graduate schools. The 216 acre campus is in a rural area 41 miles from Sioux City Iowa and 64 miles from
Sioux Falls. Including residence halls, there are 60 buildings.
Fraternities, sororities and over 122 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus can be arranged through the admissions office.
