It is set in the restful York Lake Regional Park which is also home to a ball park and a gun range. Boating, swimming and camping may also be enjoyed in the park. The course lies on rolling terrain (uneven lies are not uncommon) that ranges from open to heavily forested. Its greens are large and themually present generous targets. Many holes feature sand bunkers and water is in play on five holes. Overall, York Lake is a challenging but functional course, suitable for players of all levels of ability.
