Located on Bays Mountain Park Road, this is a 3,000 acre nature preserve offering programs about the area's ecology. The park also has more than 25 miles of hiking trails. The visitor center houses a planetarium, a saltwater aquarium and exhibits ranging from natural history to space travel. Barge trips designed to offer views of the plants and animals living in and around the area are available.
Park open Monday through Saturday 8:30am-8pm, Sunday 1pm-8pm in summer; hours vary the rest of the year. Please call for more information.
