Signal Mountain

This mountain, the southernmost point on Walden's Ridge, got its name during the Civil War when it was used as a signaling point by the Confederate army; it had served a similar purpose for American Indians. Signal Point and James Point offer views of the Tennessee Grand Canyon, Racoon Mountain and North Chickamauga Gorge.
