Alpine is located southeast of
El Paso between
Marfa and
Marathon on US 90 and Hwy 118, in
Brewster County.
Alpine has become the service center of the Big Bend region, and capitalizes on its wealth of natural resources and recreational opportunities. Alpine's economy is growing and the local Sul Ross State University creates more cultural resources than one might expect from a small town.
