Anthony Texas |
Anthony is located just north of the El Paso metro area on Hwy 20 on the banks of the Rio Grande River on the Texas/New Mexico state line.
It is in El Paso County, on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway line.
In 1988 the Anthony Chamber of Commerce named the town the Leap Year Capital of the World, and the Worldwide Leap Year Birthday Club, open to anyone born on February 29, had more than 100 members by 1992.
