In
Harris County, Baytown is located just east of the
Houston, Texas metro area, just south of Hwy 146, near Trinity Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
It is attracting new residents as well industry. With an eye towards the environment, Baytown has strived to provide natural habitats for birds and sea life native to the area, such as the reclaimed land at the Baytown Nature Center. Baytown is also home to the world-famous Houston Raceway Park.
