One of the country's top bird-watching sites is located in the Port Aransas-Rochport area where local and migrating birds find the wetlands to be the perfect habitat. Vegetation pockets in the Center attract hummingbirds as they migrate during spring and fall. A brochure is available at the Visitors Center listing the species found here. The Center is also home to 'Boots' a six-foot alligator often seen basking in the sun. Open daily.
