Haltom City is located in Tarrant County, and is a community of close to 40,000. It lies mostly within the beltline of the Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas metro area.

It is served by three rail lines, Union Pacific, Trinity Railway Express and Fort Worth and Western. Also, the Trinity Rail Express, a commuter train, and the Tarantula, a sight-seeing train, go through Haltom City.
