Located in the former county jail. Chronologically arranged displays start with early American Indians, then focus on Spanish exploration and colonization through the Mexican War, the Rio Grande steamboat era, the Civil War, early ranching and farming, the border-bandit wars, early law enforcement and modern ranching and farming practices.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, and 1-5 Sunday.
