In 1983, Chrysalis Dance Company was founded by Christine Lidvall whose vision was to develop a modern dance company immersed in repertory by regionally and nationally acclaimed choreographers. It produces provocative performances that take audiences through a range of concepts and emotions and frequently collaborates with other organizations. It is available for master classes, lecture/demonstrations, workshops, performances in schools, arts-in-education workshops for classroom teachers and teaching artists, and training in the development of dance programming for troubled youth.
