La Villita

Located at Villita Street between South Presa and South Alamo streets. La Villita is a restoration of San Antonio's earliest residential settlement. Buildings along the cobblestone walkways house shops where crafts are demonstrated. The village contains adobe houses, art galleries and a museum complex of early American culture. In Cos House, Gen Martin Perfecto de Cos signed articles of capitulation when Texans captured San Antonio prior to the siege of the Alamo.
