Lewisville Lake

Huge 23,280-acre Corps of Engineers reservoir popular for water sports and outdoor recreation in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. More than a score of public parks along the 200-mile shoreline. The city of Lewisville manages Lake Park on the southshore: picnic areas, RV and tent camping, pavilion, 24-hour fishing barge, swimming beach and excellent facilities. Also, Hidden Cove Park on the east shore has all the above plus screened shelters and group pavilions. Marinas, boat rentals, launching ramps, anglers' supplies. Fishing for largemouth and white/striped bass, crappie, catfish, flathead catfish. Swimming, waterskiing, sailing, trailer and picnic areas. Home of Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club and two Coast Guard flotillas. 27 miles NW of downtown Dallas.
