Mesquite is located in
Dallas County on the eastern city limits of
Dallas near Lake Ray Hubbard. I-30, US 80, Hwy 352 and the Lyndon Johnson freeway all run through the suburb, which showed a population estimate for July 1, 1998 as 114,632, an increase of 13,148 since 1990.
