Established in 1731, a popular and photogenic little church which was restored several times is still in use. Ruins of walls, granary foundations, and the fortified tower remains can still be seen. Nearby aqueduct over Piedra Creek is part of the mission's irrigation system which also includes a dam and irrigation ditch (acequia) still in use 200 years later. Aqueduct is a National Historic Landmark.
