Located near Mitchell Street, was moved to its present location in 1731. The massive church with twin towers and cupola was built by Franciscans with the aid of American Indian labor. Reputedly the oldest unrestored stone church in the country, it is known for its great acoustics. The chapel contains wall paintings that date from the colonial period.
