Monastery of St Clare Miniature Horses

The monastery is home to a group of Franciscan Poor Clare nuns who support themselves by raising miniature horses and by selling homemade ceramics and other crafts in The Art Barn gift shop. Guided Tours are given Monday through Friday by reservation only. Self-guided Tours of the horses, Art Barn, and Monastery Chapel year-round for families, individuals, and other small groups. No fee, but donations are always appreciated. There is a picnic area for our visitors, as well as restroom facilities, and soda and snack vending machines. Water fountains are located in the barn and picnic areas, and bottled water and sno-cones are for sale in the Art Barn Gift Shop. Open daily except Holy Week and Christmas.
