Port Isabel Historical Museum |
Housed in historic Chas Champion building, it shares its water with the same well Zachary Taylor's troops used during the U.S./Mexican War. Built at the turn of the century, it has served as a general store, post office, railroad depot and the site of the town's only phone. Nationally known fish mural. Hands-on exhibits include audiovisual film interactives, original artifacts, rare documents, and vintage photographs that tell the story of the region.
