Located 1 mile south on River Road is a reconstructed early Texas town; some log cabins date from the 1860s. The buildings lining the boardwalks include the opera house, where entertainment is presented in the summer, and Remington Bronze Museum. There also is an operating replica of an 1873 train with a steam locomotive.
