Justin Community Library, serving an area of 2,200 residents, has a collection of 22,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 270 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 1,200 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $2,500. Patrons make 5,600 visits annually, and check out materials 10,000 times. Nineteen percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
