Silsbee is located north of
Beaumont on Farm Roads 92 and 2246, off US 96, in
Hardin County.
Silsbee is part of the Beaumont-Port Arthur, Texas metro area.
Established by John Henry Kirby in 1894, as a sawmill town, it is now the home of the giant Kirby Forest Industries.
