The Silent Wings Museum is located in Lubbock, Texas in the building that used to serve as the Lubbock airport terminal. This one-of-a-kind museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the American military glider program of World War II. The centerpiece of the collection is a restored CG-4A combat glider that could transport materials or up to 15 people per flight.
The Silent Wings Museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. General admission is $4, $3 for seniors, and $2 for children under 12.
