The world's first oil boomtown is recreated with typical clapboard buildings of the era, including a post office, a photo studio, a saloon, and wooden oil derricks. Lucas Gusher Monument commemorates the beginning of the world's modern petroleum industry that literally blew in at 10:00 a.m. on January 10, 1901, with the gusher drilled by Anthony F. Lucas.
