Steves Homestead

The site includes a lavish Second Empire mansion built by Edwards Steves and River Haus. A carriage house originally intended to hold a swimming pool. Completed in 1877 for $15,000 and described as a "magnificent structure. The mansion, with its slate-covered mansard roof and 13-inch-thick limestone walls, displays victorian antiques.
