Taylor

In Williamson County, Taylor is located just northeast of Austin between Round Rock and Rockdale along US 79 and Hwy 95, below Granger Lake.

In 1983 the city limits encompassed some ten square miles, and the estimated population was 10,900. Historical markers, a museum, and library archives reflected local participation in historic preservation. In 1990 the population of Taylor was 11,472.

Taylor is part of the Austin-San Marcos, Texas metro area.
