Texarkana is composed of two cities with the same name. The Texarkana cities are unique in that they are connected by a man made line, State Line Avenue, which runs through the center of downtown Texarkana. They are located northeast of
Dallas on I-30 in both Texas and Arkansas, with its Texas portion in
Bowie County.
Texarkana is part of the Texarkana, Texas-Texarkana metro area.
