This museum, located on the University of Texas campus, preserves and interprets the natural and cultural heritage of Texas. Current long-term exhibits include Great Texas Pterosaur, Goddess of Liberty, Onion Creek Mosasaur, Glen Rose Dinosaur Tracks, and collections that focus on Texas and the New World. Museum holdings have expanded to include a variety of artifacts that support historical and anthropological research. Open daily, closed major holidays. Admission is free to the public. Free parking available on San Jacinto Street, just a five minute walk from the museum.
