8 miles south on US 59 to Crabb River Road exit, then 5 miles east to 10215 FM 762, is a 470-acre working ranch where visitors can sit around a campfire with cowboys during roundup, watch lye soap being made or see rope being twisted the old fashioned way. June tenth, commemorating the end of slavery in Texas, is celebrated the third Saturday of June with festivities and a rodeo. Tours of the 1890s victorian mansion and a 1930s ranch house are available. Picniking is permitted.
