Thistle Hill

This Georgian revival mansion, once known as Quality Hill, was built in 1903 as a wedding present from cattle baron W.T. Waggoner for his daughter, Electra, and her husband, A.B. Wharton. The home contains eighteen rooms, oak-paneled halls, and solid granite pillars. It is furnished with turn-of-the-century pieces, including a few originals. A spectacular Victorian dollhouse is on display upstairs. A pergola and teahouse are on the grounds. The restored mansion is furnished in period. Tours are given on the hour. Open year-round, except for major holidays, 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., Monday through Friday; 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Sunday.
