Tomball is located just north of Houston toward Conroe off I-45 near Spring Creek. Tomball is part of the Houston, Texas metro area. This small town in northern Harris County is named after Thomas H. Ball, a prominent Houston attorney and U.S. Congressman from Texas at the turn of the century.
