Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge

Tremendous concentrations of waterfowl as well as a great variety--more than 60,000 snow geese (along with white-fronted and Canadian geese) use this and other wildlife refuges in this area of the state along TX 87 on the Gulf. The McFaddin Refuge has one of the densest populations of alligators in the state. Public activities include wildlife observation, photography, waterfowl hunting, fishing, and crabbing.
