Built in 1889 by Dr. R.N. Younger, a church, banking and school leader. In 1923 it was purchased by Frank Edgar and Sarah Gordon Nichols, mother of the four Sullivan girls, Beryl, Hortense, Martha and Mona. The girls lived there most of their lives. The house received a Texas Historical Marker in 1986. The house was willed to the City of Whitesboro upon the death of Mona Sullivan, the last surviving sister, in 1995. Preservation of the house is managed by the Whitesboro Preservation Board. Its also a popular site for weddings and receptions. This ornate victorian structure is available for tours by appointment.
