Chesapeake Bay is a long, narrow arm of the Atlantic Ocean that runs north from the coast of
Virginia and divides
Maryland into two parts. It is 200 miles long and from 4 to 40 miles wide.
The Susquehana River enters the bay at its most northern point. The Potomac River enters its on the west side. The United States Naval Academy is at Annapolis on the western shore. The largest city on the bay is Baltimore.
