Allakaket Alaska

Allakaket is located on the south bank of the Koyukuk River in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, within the Interior Region, on the western edge of the Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge. Several Native groups have lived in the area, including Koyukon Athabascans and Kobuk Eskimos. The traditional lifestyle of the Athabascan people is still evident today in the daily subsistence activities.
