Aleutian World War II National Historic

The purpose of this historic area is to interpret, educate, and inspire present and future generations of the history of the Aleut people and the Aleutian Islands in the defense of the U.S. during WWII.

The site was designated a National Historic Area in 1996. The park is open year round.
