Pioneer Park

Formerly Alaskaland

This 44-acre historic walk-through theme park was created in 1967 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of US territorial status. Admission is free and the park is open year-round.

Visitors can enjoy small shops, food, entertainment and numerous exhibits. These include a gold mine, a gold rush town, a recreated Native Village, square dance hall, and an Aviation Museum.

The Salmon Bake cafe is open daily in the summer season and also serves ribs, halibut and steaks. Miniature golf, dancing and the Crooked Creek and Whisky Island Railroad are also featured.

The Palace Theatre & Saloon offers a musical-comedy revue nightly all summer.
