Cape Spencer Lighthouse

Cape Spencer Lighthouse was established in 1913 and had the first radiobeacon in Alaska. There was a fog signal building, boathouse, blacksmith house, storage building, oil house, and keepers quarters.

The lighthouse can only be viewed by boat, float plane, or helicopter. It may also be seen from cruise ships approaching nearby Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

The rhird-order Fresnel lens is on display at the Alaska State Museum in Juneau.
