Knik Alaska

Knik was once the landing/supply point for mines in the Talkeetna Mountains/Hatcher Pass area. The town was founded at the site of an existing indian villages.

When the Alaska RR bypassed Knik, the town died. It was completely deserted by 1919.

Knik is approximately 13 miles south of Wasilla.
