Lake Louise State Recreation Area |
Open year round, this area is 19.3 miles off the Glenn Hwy/Tok Cutoff via gravel road. It is known for its lake trout fishing and views of Tazlina Glacier and Lake. Winter ice fishing and cross-country skiing is excellent.
There are 52 campsites, covered picnic tables and a boat launch. The Lake Louise Rd joins Glenn Hwy/Tok Cutoff at Mile 159.8
There is also a 2,000 foot airstrip and adjacent floatplane base on the lake. Susitna Lake and Dinty Lake are both reached by boat across Lake Louise.
