Wrangell Museum

Wrangell's history is depicted in exhibits on the Gold Rush, trapping, logging and fishing. Four Tlingit houseposts, carved in the 1700s and thought to be the oldest known houseposts still in existence today, are on loan to the museum.

Displays of Tlingit, Russian, British, Chinese, Japanese and American influences. There is an extensive photo collection documenting Wrangell's history, as well as collections of trapping, fishing, and forest industries.

It is open weekdays May to September and when cruise ships are in port. Admission for adults.
