The railroad dates back to 1899. Today, two 1907 Baldwin steam locomotives and three vintage diesel electric locomotives take you on a ride. Over 60,000 passengers ride the train each year. Your journey on a historic train across Heber Valley, around Deer Creek Lake and through Provo Canyon is offered. Charters and group tours are available. Special events include Murder Mysteries, Raft the River, Dances and our famous Vivian Park Dinner Train. They also offer the Haunted Canyon Train at Halloween. And at Christmas there is the popular recreation of reading popular Christmas stories. This is a sell out every year. Amenities on board include rest rooms, a snack bar and gift shop.
