This unique stone "bulletin board" features over 350 distinct petroglyphs carved by ancient peoples over 800 years ago. The panel includes hundreds of incised figures and designs; some figures, riding horses and shooting arrows, are believed to be portrayals of Ute Indians following their acquisition of horses in the 17th century. More recent petoglyphs are attributed to the Utes, circa the 19th century. Located on Hwy 211, and accessible by Hwy 191, north of Monticello; the site is under the management of the BLM.
