Syracuse is located in Davis County southwest of Ogden between Hooper and Layton on Hwy 127 near The Great Salt Lake and the Weber River and Hill Air Force Base. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,540, an increase of 2,882 since 1990. Syracuse is part of the Salt Lake City-Ogden, Utah metro area.
