The museum began in 1959. In 1963, a committee successfully pressed for legislation establishing a state museum of natural history at the University of Utah. Here you can experience 200 million years under one roof. Native American artifacts, Jurassic dinosaurs, activities for children and exhibits that showcase Utah's natural wonders. Located at the University of Utah. he University has reserved 14 acres of land for the development of a new museum building.

06/15 Coming to The Salt Lake City area Malad Valley Welsh Festival Malad City ID June28-July1 Today, Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
