Located 15 miles north of Salt Lake City in Layton, Valley View Golf Course was opened in 1974. Par for 18 holes is 72/74. The green fees are very inexpensive. The course does rent out clubs and golf carts. There is also a practice range that the golfers can use. The course's open season runs from March to November and has a high from May to September. To obtain tee times, call one day in advance. All major credit cards are accepted.

Malad Valley Welsh Festival Malad City ID June28-July1 Today, Malad Valley has the largest per capita concentration of people of Welsh ancestry outside the country of Wales itself. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
