The 7,000-acre wildlife preserve is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and by Back Bay on the other. Several trails, some decked, are available for hikers and bicyclists; a tram occasionally runs along the trails. A variety of waterfowl and other wildlife can be seen. Trails and refuge open daily, dawn to dusk; some trails are closed seasonally. Visitor center open Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-4pm.
