Confederate Memorial

The Confederate Memorial is on the west side of Arlington National Cemetery, it was built by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1914. This memorial serves the purpose of honoring their dead and symbolizing a reunited North and South. The graves of Confederate soldiers and veterans who died in the Washington DC area are arranged in concentric circles around the monument.
