Julian Wood Glass Jr. Collection |
Home of Winchester's founder, 25 acres of enchanting gardens offer guided tours of the historic house, showcasing important collections of antiques. The site traces its historic significance to Col. James Wood, who settled on this land in the early 1700s and then donated portions of his homestead to establish the city of Winchester in 1744. In 1997, the site was opened as a museum, with the house presented exactly as furnished by Julian Wood Glass Jr.
